The qualities of our heart are incredible. When we visit a physician and we get an electric cardiogram taken (ECG), the doctor is measuring an electrical signal produced by our beating heart. The heart is the strongest source of electricity in our bodies. It produces so much electrical energy that it creates a 360 degree electromagnetic field, that surrounds each and every person on this planet. This field extends beyond the skin and goes out into space. But there is more to this…
Our electromagnetic field changes all the time. The frequencies in this field are constantly changing and it’s our emotions who are mainly responsible for these changes. When we change our emotional state, we change what’s being broadcasted through the heart’s electromagnetic field. If we experience emotions like anger, frustration or anxiety, it produces an incoherent field – a very chaotic electromagnetic field. But emotions like care, appreciation or love, produce a much more orderly and coherent field.
Insights offered by the heart
Because our own electromagnetic field is not just limited to our body, we also connect with the ‘large’ electromagnetic field around the earth. I like to call that ‘our cosmic heart’. This large field contains all the intelligence that’s needed to create and sustain life on this planet. It’s an infinitely intelligent field.
So when you want to get an answer to a specific question, you can ‘tap’ into your cosmic heart and the information will get to you. It might sound crazy, but it truly works like this. This is not related to a belief, but to a deep knowing. Beliefs can let you down in certain situations, but a deeper knowing is unshakable. Maybe I can best illustrate this with a recent example.
A lady who followed my HeartMath workshop, sent me an email with a beautiful message, that literally touched my heart deeply. She wrote this (and I have permission to share it with you):
Hi Dirk, I really enjoyed your HeartMath evening. I learned a lot and saw that there is so much potential for more joy in my life.
I wanted to tell you that I had an incredible realization during a HeartMath session while looking after my grandchildren. And last night, your talk gave me more insight into it, where I clearly saw that I had a certain belief that I held onto, which was not even true. Sadly, the belief was, that children though cute, were bothersome and tiring to be around for any length of time. I seemed to feel I had better things to do with my time. But during a HeartMath session my coherence was quite high while the kids were playing around me. So I asked my heart how it felt about the kids, and it was happy, not annoyed or bothered at all! So last night when you talked I realized that I just had proof that it was some kind of false “belief” that told me I was bothered by children.
This incident happened after 2 weeks of HeartMath breathing. When I learned that my heart was happy around the kids, I decided I could respond to them with more joy. At first it felt a bit contrived to do so, but I wanted to change my tune and must have been successful because it wasn’t long before I could see they were being more joyful and loving to me.
I hope you don’t mind my long winded story… but this is actually HUGE for me and I am blown away by how the HeartMath breathing and your meditation is changing my life.
BTW….Your meditations are music to my heart. Right now I’m listening to “Self-Love” more often because it is touching something in me. I cannot form words for the treasure you have created!
How beautiful, isn’t it?! I couldn’t come up with a clearer example of how the heart can offer us deep insights. I can therefore only encourage you to take more time for yourself and start listening to the whispers of your heart. You might want to join me during one of my events, or maybe you prefer to get in touch with me.
Why are so many people looking for the ultimate happiness? Why is this so important to us? Is it because we lack happiness in our lives or is it because we are always seeking for more? I’m sure that we don’t think that happy living is obtained by doing extraordinary things or looking for that ‘magical dream’, but by becoming too obsessed about reaching a state of happiness, we become too attached and start feeling anxious. This will make us rigid and causes us to forget our deepest wishes and desires.
Common Sense As many of you know, I am a down-to-earth guy, living a life inspired by simplicity. When I am present, I can just feel the gratitude for being alive, I am curious about what is, and feel compassion towards others.
I decided to write the 7 Principles of Happy Living, a simple little book, and I suggest the readers to just be humble and using your common sense. Hang out with the people that are doing healthy things. Focus on healthy relationships, full of love. When you learn to trust your inner voice (your heart), then you will know that it’s all good. This feeling will generate all the peace and happiness that you are craving for.
You might want to use The 7 Principles of Happy Living as a guide. One principle at a time. Always make sure you are relaxed about it and try to feel the impact in your body. And if you don’t feel it right away, don’t worry. Just be quiet and listen a little longer.

1. Our Essential Nature
Our essential nature is pure consciousness, perfect balance, simplicity and bliss. The universe is a movement of energy and information and is there to guide us, so that we can live in perfect harmony. We often perceive the world as being harsh and complicated. Well, it’s not the world but the people who make it complicated. And I think it’s for no real reason.
2. Giving
We have probably all heard it before, how a simple act of giving can improve our health, our relationships, our happiness and more… It is something we already know in our heart – that giving is a key part of every person’s life. Did you also know that being open to ‘receiving’ is equally important? And why?
3. Conscious Choice Making
We’ve all been provided with a number of incredible and irrevocable gifts that are oftentimes overlooked or taken for granted. Although we’re well aware of the conscious choices, it’s often the unconscious choices that lead to producing our less than desired results, regardless of how badly we may ‘want’ something.
4. Least Effort
This is a principle we can directly learn from nature. Every day, the sun rises without effort, and the birds start to sing. They don’t really try hard, they just sing. This is also human nature, so that we can manifest our deepest dreams in just a perfect and balanced way.
5. Fulfill any Dream
With intention, you can fulfill any dream or desire you might have. You can apply this in your thoughts, feelings, emotions and desires. You are part of this mighty universe, which is a movement of energy and information. Attention energizes, but intention transforms and this is the true power behind your desires.
6. Step into the Unknown
Do you also have things lined up and your life pretty much planned for the next year(s)? Most of us have. It feels good, doesn’t it! It’s our need for security. But what if something suddenly changes? Panic! Here is why it’s helpful to embrace uncertainty. If you’re open to things, they walk through the door and you’ll find yourself at places you never imagined to be.
7. Our Purpose
Have you ever sat down and thought, “What is my purpose in life? What is my passion? Where do I go from here?” The true goal behind what we pursue is often internal – and most of the time, this internal goal is simply to be happy. We like to think that this is too simple. But really, it is enough. Don’t you think so?

When I was a young boy, I was often deeply touched by all the events and circumstances that surrounded me (call me sensitive) – A loving family life, a special bond with my elementary school teacher and the bliss of being alone in the high mountains of the European Alps during the family holidays, to name a few.
But there were also other events that impacted the way I was perceiving life and myself in this life – feeling the post-Second World War stress with my parents and grandparents, the harm humans do to the environment and the fact that I secretly found out that a consultant, who tested me for post-graduate education, basically told my parents that I was not smart enough to pursue higher education…
And fast-forward to 2015, these events and many, many more, shaped me into who I am now and how I choose to live my life.
In 2013 I decided to create a platform called Soul Love where I share stories and interviews with people that inspire me – to show you that we create our own lives by whichever force we connect to. We are all love, or light if you like, and we all have the capacity to move away from the light or towards the light, it’s our very own choice.
Despite the fact that these events that I described above, but also despite the fact that in a period of 10 years time, I lost my father, my very own brother and my dear mother, despite of all of these events (I can now say: “Thanks to these events”) I have come to see that life gets so much more beautiful and so much more meaningful when I started allowing myself to feel these pains, then even dared to embrace these same pains so that I ultimately felt being lifted higher, to a higher purpose in my Divine journey called life. Yes, it requires being vulnerable, and during a conversation with former NFL linebacker Keith Mitchell, we concluded that society often perceives vulnerability as a weakness (especially with men), but I see being vulnerable as very empowering.
INSPIRATION
Once we come to the realization that we are a soul with infinite possibilities and that we are not the limitations that we were told, or the painful experiences that we felt to take personal, we set ourselves completely free.
Yes, I do very much realize that this might not always be easy, but hey, to me that’s never an excuse to not move on and to not let the Universe take care of me.
I love climbing mountains, on foot or by bike, and I also love the fact that these trips are not always easy, because I clearly feel getting stronger along the way and I know for sure that I am always treated with magnificent views along the way and on the top. Going back down often goes much faster, but I enjoy this journey too and in the back of my head I see myself already climbing a next mountain and feel the reward of all the effort that I put into it.
Besides of all of these events that happened in my life that taught me so much, I have made big leaps forward once I started interviewing people like Anita Moorjani, don Miguel Ruiz, Gregg Braden, India.Arie and so many more. They all reminded me of how beautiful, how unique and how powerful I am. I share these stories on Soul Love to inspire you and I invite you to read them – allow yourself to be inspired too and share them with those you love.

I even want to go one step further… can I inspire you to have a conversation with someone who made a profound impact in your life and share that with all of us on my website Soul Love? Please do not hesitate to email me and share your thoughts and ideas. I would really love that, for you and for the entire Soul Love community.
After all, you are an infinite spark of the Divine and you have the option to understand this, and once you do, when sharing the love and light with others, you will truly feel that you are divine yourself.
P.S. Oh, if you like the shirt that I am wearing, it’s a beautiful, moist-wicking t-shirt with long or short sleeves, fitted cut, comes in marine blue and in the sizes (both men’s and women’s) S, M, L and XL. They are available for you too and they cost $30 (plus shipping). You can order one here.

Many of us suppress our feelings because we spend so much time in our head and believe that we are our feelings. When we acknowledge anger, sadness. jealousy it means that we ARE that. This belief system renders us powerless to our ego mind, where the feeling was created. You are not your body, you are not your mind, you are not your feelings, you are just love. Love is not a feeling, it’s a state of being 😍😇 ... See MoreSee Less
Knowledge is Power.A Lack of Knowledge is a Lack of Power.Simply, a “misperception,” which by definition represents a lack of knowledge, translates as a lack of power.Even though there may be a perception in our minds of light versus dark themes going on, there really is no such thing as darkness. Darkness is just the absence of light. When we come from a place of love in our hearts we no longer have to see separation and conflict, but rather we can perceive and experience wholeness and unity. The idea is to trust in the process, focus on the goal, and try not to get caught up in the details of how to get there. Let us imagine the world we seek as if we already have it!Stay tuned for more photos as I am back in the green screen room preparing for taping this month's newsletter.Newsletters at www.brucelipton.com/resources/?category%5B%5D=newsletterJoin at www.brucelipton.com...
